WHY DONATE?

At Generation Africa, we do not provide assistance but support while respecting local cultures. Our goal is to make these orphans and deprived children responsible adults who can, in turn, help their community.

With minimal commitment, you will provide for all the needs of a child that we will welcome thanks to you. Monthly support for all of a child's material, medical and educational needs comes to around €29 per month, or only €0.32 per day after tax deduction.

You can deduct 66% of the amount of your donations from your taxes, up to 20% of your taxable income. Click here to find out more about the tax regime for donations to associations.

WHAT IS MY DONATION FOR?

Your aid is not paid directly to the child because that would make no sense in a poor village. But it is shared for the benefit of the community in which the child lives (whether it is a village or a group of children taken in by a “Mama”). Collective achievements will, in fact, allow the child to participate in their own development while improving the living conditions of all.

Your €29 is used every month to:

Buy food and clothing, Finance a child's education, Finance the improvement of the living conditions of the child's community (water, medical care, etc.), Act to guarantee that a child's rights are respected while teaching him his homework.

This is how, for several years, thanks to your donations, we will be able to carry out projects locally within your godchild's community. Throughout your sponsorship, you have the possibility of making additional donations in favor of the community where your sponsored child lives or for additional projects which we tell you about below.

PROJECTS

WHAT PROJECTS WILL YOU SUPPORT WITH YOUR DONATIONS?

To help us, for example, put the homes provided for children into operation and cover the costs of coordinating the work, we need your one-off or regular donations. Even the most modest donations are important for the survival and development of these children. The scale of the disaster is such that action is urgently needed. Each according to your means.

You can then let Generation Africa allocate your donation to the most urgent needs that have been identified.

IN SOUTH AFRICA

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER IN THE FIELD

You can come to South Africa for an initial period of 2 months to see the reality on the ground.

If, at the end of this period, your call or your desire to help these children is confirmed, you will be able to work voluntarily for a period of at least 6 months.

The food is the same as in France or Europe. The quality of hospitals is excellent, comparable to what we find in the West. The shopping centers are ultra modern. There is no malaria here, and no vaccinations are necessary. For leisure, the Indian Ocean is less than an hour away, with the "Dolphin Coast" which is one of the most beautiful places in Africa.

Know, however, that goodwill is not enough. The work is not always easy, it requires motivation and a heart as big as Africa.

We would be very happy to receive your application. Please send us your detailed CV, with a recent photo, and a handwritten cover letter. All profiles are sought, from housekeeper to MBA manager!

To do this, you can contact us by email at: contact@generation-africa.org or send us a letter to Generation Africa, 42 rue Malesherbes – 69006 Lyon (France).

IN FRANCE OR EUROPE

You can raise awareness of the needs of orphans and our work by becoming one of Generation Africa's representatives in your city or department. You will be able to speak in schools, universities, fairs or exhibitions, in seminars, etc.

But we also need people who have secretarial or computer skills, or who are bilingual in English or German or another European language, to do, in particular, translations.

A few hours per month are often enough. Think about it and join us! You will find warmth and friendship in our team.
